Mezzanine Floors Mezzanine Storage Platform Office Platform Storage Systems UK Coverage An Equip Storage Systems mezzanine floor is designed, manufactured and installed to the heighest standard using the finest quality materials to ensure each installation will provide a long trouble free service life.  Each site is fully surveyed and detailed plans are prepared for the customers approval before any manufacturing work takes place.  This ensures every installation is BEST DESIGNED to suit the clients requirements. A mezzanine floor is usually the most cost effective solution to creating additional floor space for almost any use. A mezzanine floor can be installed in even the most demanding site without major distruption to the normal business activity.  A mezzanine floor will cost a fraction of the price of a traditional extension and will not require additional ground floor space, it will also be much more cost effective than moving to larger premises without the associated cost of moving and fitting out. Our fully trained staff will advise on all aspects of the design of the structure and will guide you through all steps of the project from initial site survey to final completion. All mezzanine structures will require building regulations approval and may also require seperate landlords approval. We are please to offer a free no obligation initial consultation to discuss the individual requirements for the project and advise best on how to obtain the required approvals.  Planning approval is not NORMALLY required for a mezzanine floor, however there may be planning development restrictions on the site e.g. limiting any additional floor space to available car park spaces or if the site is being used as retail.  Again we would welcome the opportunity to discuss these issues at an initial FREE of charge consultation and then to liase directly upon your behalf with the Local Authority. DESIGN OPTIONS The decking material options range from 38mm thick high density Particle Board (either Non Moisture Resistant or Moisture Resistent), steel plate (either smooth or patterend), steel mesh or even concrete decking where a rigid specialist finish is needed. Every Equip Storage Systems mezzanine floor is supplied with the following ancillary equipment as required: - HANDRAILING We can supply standard industrial type, retail display type or specialist types such as stainless steel, glass infilled or specialist design to our customers specification. STAIRCASES Standard staircases are usually 900mm wide steel construction conforming to Part K of the National Building Regulations.  Specialist Staircases such as Retail or Showroom type can be supplied to suit individual customers specifications.  Wider staircases conforming to Part M (disabled access - DDA) of the National Building Regulations can also be supplied. FIRE PROTECTION Where a storage mezzanine floor extends over mor than 50% of the floor area of the room it is in or more than 20 metres in either direction it will require FIRE PROTECTION.  If the mezzanine floor is used for OFFICE, RETAIL or WORK area it will also require fire protection.  This can easily be acheived by fitting a SUSPENDED CEILING and fire proof COLUMN CASINGS.
